New government regulations are being applied worldwide relating to the practice of commodity haulage. Commodity haulage is the shipment of large amounts of materials from one location to another. It usually takes place by rail, truck or barge. When the materials being transported contain toxic chemicals, traces of these chemicals are released into the atmosphere by the wind. Most of these traces are of tiny PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles. PM 10 particles are only about 1/7 the size of a human hair but still add up to enormous amounts of raw material being lost in getting it from point A to point B. Some commodities which are transported by commodity haulage are materials such as coal, wood, sulfur, sand, and salt. All of which can be extremely toxic to areas that they are foreign to when found in high dosages. Many of the materials being lost are also limited resources so it means extremely valuable losses for the owners of these commodities not to mention the health costs to those exposed to the airborne dust.
Dust Stop can put an end to this problem by forming a blanket over the top of the material being transported disallowing any dust particles from being released into the atmosphere. Dust Stop will not change the composition of the materials that it is applied to and will leave virtually no traces behind. The use of dust suppressants in the commodity haulage industry will put an end to dangerous widespread air pollution, as for years now commodities have been transported great distances leaving a harmful path of pollution behind.
